Home again, home again clippitey clop...
Back from reading week, and already thrown into the world of academia with deadlines and other work to complete.
Home was fun, good to see the family for the first time since August. The dog Gus has grown, but not as much as his photos have suggested that he has. He has oodles of energy and it was hard work keeping ahead of his antics as Mum had found to her cost. One night she had reached over to take a sip of water by her bedside and had inadvertantly knocked over a bottle of cough medicine. She didn't think anything of it until she woke up for work only to find herself covered in green syrup that the dog had thoughtfully put into the bed with her - when the bottle dropped onto the floor, Gus chewed the top off the bottle and then deposited it into the bed. Mum then digustedly threw the bottle into the rubbish basket by her bed and went to have a bath. When she came out of the bathroom however, she had found that Gus had got hold of the bottle again and with the remainders of the syrup, he had spilled the contents all over the brand new landing and stair carpets. Bad, bad, dog. The result of this apart from green carpets (though they cleaned up fine), was that the dog was hyper active for the rest of the day, noticeably more so than what you'd expect from an eleven month old English Springer Spaniel puppy. He was worse than a kid with ADHD, he was that loopy. Funny though, very funny.
